I began to sew as a young teen when my parents said the Villager brand dress I wanted was too expensive! I really wanted that dress, so I asked the wife of my father's boss to teach me to sew. I found a pattern "exactly" like the dress I wanted, and even found a place that sold Villager brand fabric.
And the rest is history!
After that first special dress came a formal white coat to wear over my prom gown. Then itchy unlined wool pants for my brother, a blue denim leisure suit for my husband in the 70's, a ballerina hippo costume (my son volunteered me for this for a school concert). Next came a First Communion dress for my daughter, and other clothes for the kids in the 80's, then curtains and clothes for myself.
And now... My new passion is creating bridal gowns, veils, accessories, clothes for baby's special occasions, and gift items for all ages. I enjoy creating personalized, embroidered keepsake items. Each item is sewn with the expertise developed over many years and always has a unique special touch added.
